Be the 2%.


I recently read a book that really got me thinking. It shared a simple but powerful idea: only 2% of people take the stairs. Not just physically—but in life. As a society, we’ve become so conditioned to choose comfort that we often default to what's easy, even when we know there’s a better, more fulfilling option just a little beyond that discomfort.


That concept hit home. Because in the gym, in our relationships, in our health, and in life—growth doesn’t happen when things feel safe or familiar. It happens when we lean into the challenge. When we take the stairs instead of the lift. When we choose the uncomfortable option because we know it leads to something greater.


Be the 2%. Try the new class. Start the conversation. Make the friend. Push for the extra rep. Say yes to the thing that scares you a little. Discomfort isn’t something to avoid—it’s an invitation to become more.


So this week, when life gives you the choice between comfort and growth—take the stairs.
