Negative Handstand push-up drill

Negative Handstand Push-Ups from a box are an excellent way to develop upper body strength, control, and shoulder stability.

By focusing on the lowering phase (the eccentric part of the movement), you're building the foundational strength required for full handstand push-ups — even if you're not there yet.

This variation allows you to:

✅ Build strength safely through a controlled range of motion

✅ Improve shoulder and core stability

✅ Practice proper positioning and body awareness

✅ Gradually progress toward full handstand push-ups with confidence

Whether you're just starting your HSPU journey or refining your technique, these are a valuable tool to have in your training.

Progress takes patience — and this is one of the smartest steps you can take.
