WEEKLY MINDSET - Are you stuck between, I am proud of myself, and I need to go a little harder?

Are you stuck between, I am proud of myself, and I need to go a little harder?”

It’s a common space to find yourself in—acknowledging how far you’ve come while still feeling the pull to push further. And truthfully, it’s not a bad place to be. It means you care. It means you’re growing. It means you’re self-aware enough to recognise progress, but hungry enough to keep moving.

At the gym, this balance matters. Celebrating your wins—big or small—is essential. You should be proud of every extra rep, every early morning you showed up, every time you scaled a workout instead of skipping it altogether. But growth also comes from challenge—knowing when to gently nudge yourself out of your comfort zone, try the next weight up, or push for that one extra round.

You don’t have to choose one or the other. You can be proud and still want more. That’s where real, sustainable progress lives—right in the middle.
